A dedicated and experienced team of training and support consultants are available to users of our software. Our team is available from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday throughout the year and deals with both telephone and email queries. The team handles around 6,000 individual queries per year across the following areas:

 

Rules advice

We can provide clarification of both the government's New Deal contract for junior doctors and the European Working Time Directive. Our team have a thorough working knowledge of how the rules are applied and can offer advice as to the best practice we believe trusts should adopt. Access to a catalogue of Zircadian's own reference guides helps trusts to demystify the various rules and form their own interpretations.

 

Rota-building

Good rota planning forms the basis for all our work. We offer our trusts a free rota building service for any type of rota. The team are able to build new rotas from scratch to your own specifications, or modify existing rotas to meet changing requirements. We can also provide examples of 'good practice rotas' that trusts can alter to fit their needs. Many trusts like to be able to have the freedom to create their own rotas and the support team can guide them through the process at any time.

 

Monitoring

Key to the junior doctor contract is the need to monitor all training posts. Our team helps by offering trusts tips for setting up new exercises and providing our own opinion when interpreting outcome bands; our ability to identify data trends and spot problem areas can often lead to more consistent bandings in the future.

 

Process guidance

Monitoring, rebanding and ministerial returns are all essential processes in good rota management and the team can offer its own guidance as to how these should be carried out.
