Through rota building activities alone, Zircadian has helped save trusts well over 20 million in the last five years.

Zircadian, the leading provider of software and consultancy services for managing all hospital doctors in the NHS, announces today that it has been acquired by The Allocate Group in a move which integrates respective product portfolios, creates a strengthened and enhanced range of solutions and increases value for our clients.
Zircadian is currently working with 147 NHS organisations which principally use its custom built software applications, the Junior Doctor Portal and the Consultant Portal. The Junior Doctor Portal is an online gateway providing solutions for rota management, e-monitoring, e-rostering and locum management. The Consultant Portal provides access to solutions for consultant job planning, leave management, activity rostering, 360° multi source feedback, and appraisal and revalidation.
The functionality of Zircadian software is extremely complementary to Allocate’s existing nurse and medical rostering software, HealthRoster Nursing and HealthRoster Medics. The addition of the Zircadian software to the Allocate HealthSuite means that Allocate provides the only end-to-end software offering rostering across all staff groups. Furthermore, the planned integration of the software with HealthRoster will result in Allocate being the only provider of a combined medic planning and rostering solution, thus allowing Allocate to offer greater benefits to its customer base.
Commenting on the acquisition, Dr Henry Carleton, Director of Zircadian said: "I am proud of what the team at Zircadian has achieved in developing and growing the business over the past nine years and we are delighted to join forces with Allocate, the market leader in its field. The integration of our application into the broader HealthRoster application Suite is a natural step, and one which provides the combined groups customers with a highly complementary product offering."
Ian Bowles, CEO of Allocate commented: "We are delighted to conclude our sixth acquisition, one which complements our HealthRoster application well, thereby significantly enhancing the product portfolio and value that we can bring to our customer base both within the NHS and elsewhere. The alignment of Zircadian’s products with Allocate’s reinforces the benefits of our focused M&A strategy in which we aim to continue to build a significant healthcare applications company. I welcome the Zircadian team to Allocate and look forward to further building on our existing relationships within our mutual customer base."
