Zircadian Consultant, Dr Masood Ahmed speaks at WTD conference

29 June 2009

Dr Masood Ahmed, the newest member of the Zircadian consultancy team, delivered a presentation at the recent Medicology conference entitled 'Immediate Imperatives and Practical Solutions as EWTD Approaches'.

The event took place in London on Friday 26 June and focused on priorities and solutions to the core issues facing trusts and clinical teams as they work towards readiness. This important and practical conference had a shorter term focus on practical and emergency strategies, rather than just broader organisational strategies which can take longer to implement.

The EWTD reduction in working hours is an immediate and significant challenge potentially impacting on service delivery, quality, safety, training, hospital at night and more. Masood's presentation concentrated on the subject of maximising training in reduced hours, and he also participated in the panel discussion. Zircadian exhibited throughout the day.
